Q: Can you take Meclizine along with Levetiracetam?
Can you take Meclizine along with Levetiracetam? Not exactly at the same time I mean, just during certain periods of the day?
A: You need to call a doctor or a pharmacist about that, not rely on people on Y!A or information on websites.
Q: Why would a doctor prescribe Levetiracetam to a patient getting ready to have a tumor removed from head?
my dad has a tumor on in his head. He is having surgery next week. We are trying to figure out why the doctor prescribed him a anti seizure medicine when he has NEVER had a seizure.
A: This is just precautionary. If the tumor is anywhere that might start to put pressure on an area that could trigger a seizure than this would be the reason. Neurologists can look at the size and location of the tumor and see if this might be a possibility. Please tell your dad to never leave any doctor’s office without asking any questions about medications that he is put on. The doctor should have gone over everything with him. These doctors work for him and he is paying them to keep him healthy for himself and your family. I can understand how worried you all must be. Any surgery is serious and especially when tumors are involved. I wish you all good luck and God Bless
Q: Is the generic levetiracetam exactly the same as the branded Keppra?
A: Yes they are the same. The only difference is the color. Keppra comes in 250 mg (blue), 500 mg (yellow), 750 mg (orange), and 1000 mg (white) tablets and as a clear, colorless, grape-flavored liquid (100 mg/mL) for oral administration.
Levetiracetam is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a faint odor and a bitter taste. It is very soluble in water.
I posted a link with more information
hope that helps.
Q: can I take lisinopril for hypertension along with levetiracetam for epilepsy safely?
I have just been placed on lisinopril for high blood pressure and may be also be placed on levetiracetam for epileptic seizures; I am concerned about the possibility of a drug interaction.
A: These strike me as perfectly fine together. They operate in different areas of the body on different biochemical systems, and Keppra(levitracetam) has one of the best side effect profiles of any of the seizure medications. This strikes me as a fairly safe combo, and definitely one worth any minor chance of something out of the ordinary happening, given the severe consequences of seizures and uncontrolled hypertension.
Q: Has anyone been on the epilepsy drug Keppra (Levetiracetam) and if so, did you suffer any side effects?
Have just been taken off it because of its side effects and am waiting to be put on something else. Just wanted to know if anyone else had any side effects?
A: Yep im on it, was on a very high dose 3000mg’s a day for about a year but due to excessive headaches and nausea I am now on a mixture of Keppra and Epilim, it’s much better, Ive only been on this cocktail for a few months, but its good so far…
ttfn ;o)
Q: can you take levetiracetam while takein depprission pills?
A: read the leaflet that came with you’re meds, if you have lost it then call up you’re doc and ask or ask you’re local pharmacist/chemist if in doubt! ps you may get better answers if you put this into a more appropriate category such as i.e health, or medicine! rather then in the LGBT category

Q: Clobazam, Trileptal, levetiracetam, tablets for epilepsy?
Has any one had bad reactions to these drugs or a good outcome.
Daughter 17 takes a combination of the three. (16 tablets a day)
A: The Trileptal is a good medication based upon my personal experience. It assisted with decreasing the need for polypharmacy in controlling my sz. disorder.
Make sure of the following: 1. Never discontinue your medications without medical advisement. 2. Always see your physician for followup appointments. Continue to seek information and remember to decrease seizure activity, you have to decrease CNS activity therefore sedation and drowsiness occurs. Use caution in driving (if you can) never swim alone and get a medic alert bracelet.
Q: Anyone on lamotrigine or levetiracetam (keppra) anticonvulsants?
hi, just wondering if any users of these drugs experience side effects and what they do to control them? my seizures hav been more frequent as well as me not being able to sleep then wen i do get to sleep i can sleep for 24 hours straight and still feel tired. wot should i do?
A: It seems that an increase in seizures is a good indication that these are not the right meds for you (especially when you are talking about anticonvulsants!). You should definitely talk to your doctor. There are so many other options out there.
I am on lamotrigine and have to take it in the AM or it makes my insomnia worse. It also seems to make my face break out a lot and have an increase in hair loss (which I took supplemental biotin, selenium, and multivitamins to try to counter and which eased up after several months).
Q: can levetiracetam get you high?
i was just wondering because my friend is taking it cause of epilepsey ? idk .
A: If it is getting someone high the dosage is too high for them, and can be dangerous. If you feel doped up or see things then it can also be a bad side affect of the medicine that ha other dangerous factors. So can it get you high, yes, should it, no.

Q: I take five tablets every day. How can I protect my stomach from ulcers or anything?
The drugs are propranolol, trazodone and levetiracetam.
I want to avoid damage to myself but keep my medicines.
A: stomach ulcers are actually mainly (80%) caused by the bacteria Infection by Helicobacter pylori hence preventing them is actually quite difficult.
however, anti-inflammatory drugs are sometimes called non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs sometimes affect the mucus barrier of the stomach and expose the stomach lining to the acid and this may allow acid to cause an ulcer. About 2 in 10 stomach ulcers are caused by anti-inflammatory drugs.
Q: are levetiracetam tablets available in ireland
A: I think the best advice would be for you to ask a local doctor or pharmacist in Ireland, who should be able to tell you or to find out for you if they don’t already know. Hope this helps you out! x
